Pete Donegan did not get the best of starts this weekend as he tangled up with a slower rider in Saturday practice. The result was a bike in the weeds and Pete with shattered collarbone! A titanium plate and eight screws later…

Willie was left to defend the Buell honor on his own.

The Sunday started with a 2nd place finish in the V-twins class. The bike ran well as Willie recorded his fastest lap to date of 1:28.39 seconds. A freshly paved track made it difficult to push the times into the 1:27s as the team would have liked.

The Formula II race was an eventful fast paced race. Will was chased by 3 250cc GP bikes all race. Passes were abundant as the battle for second place was at hand. Willie was passed By Cody Graham on his TZ250. A lap later Cody retired from the race with a mechanical! Will was then passed by Martin Dettbarn on his TZ250. Willie responded quickly taking the position back on the straight. A lap later, Martin crashed in corner 6 trying to keep pace with Will. Then on the last lap in the second last corner Matt elder on his RS250 made a daring outside pass on Will in the carousel. A drag race to the finish saw Matt win by less than a bike length, relegating Will to 3rd place in a great race.
